WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES

To share my experience, I have hosted workshops and lectures at colleges and universities. I love sharing my knowledge but also learning from others who are in the industry, in the middle of studying or just starting out.

UNIVERSITY OF GREENWICH

Campaign Plan: Kaleidoscope Festival

I was asked to present my Marketing Campaign for music and arts festival Kaleidoscope to Events Marketing students at University of Greenwich.

I took the students through the challenges and key considerations for a new one day London event in a very saturated market.

I shared the process of creating campaign assets for print, social media, outdoor and digital advertising. I explained the campaign timeline of key messaging, ticketing strategy and audience targeting strategy for paid advertising.

The lecture finished with a Q&A for the students to ask about the campaign as well as my previous career experience.

Chloe delivered a highly informative and inspiring guest lecture to my first year BA Events Management students on the marketing campaign she planned and delivered for the Kaleidoscope Festival. Her lecture combined high quality content with plenty of practical examples and visual content such as images and videos from the campaign. Chloe connected very well with the students and they learnt a lot from her and asked lots of questions. She clearly has a passion and talent for lecturing and I would be delighted to work with Chloe again.

BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY

Navigating Instagram Talk

I returned to my university where I studied Marketing to give a talk on Instagram. I took students through utilising the social media app for their personal brand, as well as a key skill companies are looking for. I set a task for the students to go in to breakout rooms and to create content ideas to promote their Career Ready week at the university via Instagram.

Event bio for the talk:

Navigating Instagram – Making it work for your personal brand, as well as a key skill companies are looking for.

Despite some app newcomers making huge waves, Instagram isn’t going anywhere. The platform is firmly established in brands strategies, and companies are finally realising how they can utilise the platform for their businesses. You do not want to have this gap in your knowledge; you need to keep up to date with the platform's new features, and have ideas of how to utilise the platform ready for potential employers.

Instagram is also a huge opportunity for you to get your voice out there. This can be an extension of your CV and portfolio, and LinkedIn. You can have a voice on relevant topics to your industry, visually present your work, grow your network, and more.

In this session, I will take you through the latest new features from Instagram and how they can benefit both a business and individuals for their personal brand. I will go through style tips in terms of content, tone of voice and overall look and feel of profiles. The session will look at ways of running profiles with different objectives in mind. Hopefully you will leave this session feeling excited and confident enough to create some content!

It was a pleasure to welcome Chloe back virtually as a Bournemouth University alumna to deliver a webinar for our students on Navigating Instagram.
The content for the session covered how students could use the platform for their own personal branding and for the branding for a company they work for.

Chloe is a natural presenter. Personable yet professional, Chloe presented relevant engaging content that students were interested in hearing more about. Using Instagram for career development is not something we have offered as a topic for students in the past, but it was very well received.

With over 80 students in attendance there was a lot of questions and chat which Chloe handled very well.

I would be delighted to work with Chloe again in future.

BIG CREATIVE GROUP

Music Marketing Workshop

Working with music marketing apprentices, I held a workshop with students at Big Creative Group who were studying alongside full time jobs in the music industry.

I took them through my career journey so far, and then presented my Campaign Plan for Kaleidoscope Music Festival I managed. This included content creation, timelines and budget planning.

I then set a campaign brief for marketing a music festival, for them to respond to as a creative agency. They worked in groups to brainstorm ideas to then present back and discuss and debate with the other groups.
